Winter Carnival (Mid March) 
a week long carnival in Gillam that is fun for the whole family. Includes events such as our strongman competition, play dough/Lego contest, cake decorating competition, entertainment and more. This event coincides with the Hudson Bay Quest Dog Sled race.
 
Annual Bunny Parade Fundraiser for Cancer (March/April)
The Bette Winner Public Library plays host to this fundraising event. Please contact Dawna MacDonald at the library to learn more 204-652-2617.
 
Canada Day Celebrations
Happy Birthday Canada! Join us for a small celebration in honour of being CANADIAN! BBQ, cake and games for the kids!
 
Terry Fox Run (second Sunday in September)
Terry Fox vision lives on in all of us. Join your community members on this day to run for the cure! Registration Night (early - mid Sept)
 
Welcome Back Weekend (September; First Saturday following the Long Weekend)
Welcome back to the community! This event is a wind up to summer, the beginning of the fall/winter season. A day long (Saturday) event full of fun and festivities for the whole family! Bouncers, BBQ fundraiser, Cribbage Tournament, Entertainment and last but not least FIREWORKS!
 
Halloween
There are various events going on at Halloween, put on by many of the fundraising groups around Gillam. Check for notices around town!
 
Santa Claus Parade (end of November/Beginning December)
Christmas wouldn't be complete without a town parade. You can enter your own float by contacting the Recreation Centre at 204-652-6982 ext. 2 or email gillamrecadmin@townofgillam.com.  You can also contact Delanie Allan, Recreation and Community Services Manager at 204-652-7226 or email dallan@townofgillam.com.
 
Bette Winner Public Library Christmas Craft Sale (mid November)
This is a very popular event, held by the local Library. A great way to do some Christmas shopping and sample some delicious baking from different vendors. You can contact the library at 204-652-2617 to find out more.
